AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes
The AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes travelled to Red Deer December 20th and played the Red Deer IROC Chiefs losing 8-2. Lethbridge was out shot 43-24. Logan Rowley played well in net despite the score. Scoring for the Hurricanes were Brady Parenteau and Matthew Nadeau.
Next action for the AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes will be Saturday January 7th in Calgary at the Winsport Arena D Canada Olympic Park and then return to Henderson Ice Arena Sunday January 8th where they will play the Chestermere Raiders at 12 noon.

AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes
The AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes played the CNHA Blazers Friday December 16th at Henderson Ice arena and lost a very lack luster game by a score of 8-4. Scoring for the Hurricanes was Zachary Wall, Jace Jurgens, Chase Bell and Reil Bruised Head. Bruised Head also had 2 assists. Lethbridge out shot Calgary 29-27. Brooklyn Paisley took the loss in goal.
The Hurricanes then travelled to Calgary on Saturday December 17th and played the second place Calgary BlackHawks at Max Bell Arena to a 1-1 tie in a very exciting game. They outplayed the BlackHawks for 3 periods and carried the shots on goal by a margin of 36 to 29 . Jared Broderson scored the goal for the Hurricanes. Logan Rowley was in goal for the tie.
The next action for the AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes is this coming Tuesday December 20th at the Red Deer Arena 7:30 PM when they play the Red Deer IROC Chiefs
Midget AA Hounds Fundraiser

LAA Midget AA Hounds are having a fundraiser for the two Midget AA boys that passed away recently in Alberta. It is going to be Saturday from 11:30 to 4:00, at Henderson Arena. $5.00 for a bowl of chilli with bun, all funds will be going to their memorial fund.
Minor AAA Midget Hurricanes
The Minor AAA Midget Hurricanes travelled to Max Bell Aren in Calgary to play the NWCAA Bruins Saturday December 10th and lost 6-3. Lethbridge was out shot 36-30. Scoring for Lethbridge were Ralph Thrall IV, Matthew Nadeau, and Austin Huculak. Logan Rowley was in goal for the Hurricanes.
The next action for the Minor AAA Midgets is this coming Friday December 16th at 8:30 PM when they play host to the The Calgary Blazers at Henderson Ice Area. Then the following day travel to Calgary to Play the Calgary Blackhawks at Max Bell 2 Saturday December 17th.
Midget AA Hounds split their weekend
The Hounds hit the road this past weekend and posted a 1-1 record. On Saturday afternoon, Alex Barthel opened the scoring in the first period with a short-handed goal assisted by Parker Smith.
Barthel scored two more times for the Hounds in the second period assisted by Jay Hollingsworth and Levi Baker. Tanner Shirakawa assisted on the third goal. Carson Huculak also scored in the second period assisted by Matt Rypien and Baker. The third period Jay Hollingsworth scored assisted by Joey Slawson and Rypien. Garet Burton earned the shut out in net.
Sunday the Hounds lost a 7-0 decision against the Sylvan Lake Lakers, the first place team in the North division. Blake Alexander took the loss in net.
The Hounds are in second place in the South division and play four more games before a Christmas break. Next weekend the Hounds face off against the Foothills Bisons in Claresholm on Saturday.
AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes
The AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes played the Calgary Stampeders at Max Bell Arena on Saturday December 3rd and lost a close game 5-4. Scoring for the Hurricanes were Jace Jurgens with two goals and singles from Landon Gross and Calvin Awanson. Brooklen Paisely was in Goal. Lethbridge out shot the Stampeders 25 to 19.
Next action for the AAA Minor Midget Hurricanes is this coming Saturday December 10th in Calgary at Max Bell arena once again.
Midget AA Hounds – tourney results
The Hounds played in the Olds Tournament this past weekend and posted a record of 1-1-2.
Alex Barthel and Cam Windle opened the scoring in the first game on Friday against the KC Colts while Blake Alexander took the loss in net. In the win against the Edmonton Oil Kings Jonathan Zdan put in two goals while Parker Smith, Jaylen Twigg, Justin Maier, Tanner Shirakawa and Justin Mitchell all added singles to the 7-5 win. Garet Burton took the win in net.
A 5-5 tie with Encor Thunder on Saturday saw goals from Jay Hollingsworth, Carson Huculak, Shaun Kern, Levi Baker and Twigg. Blake Alexander was in net for the tie. The Sunday morning game against Taber ended in a tie in regulation with Taber winning in the shoot out. Scoring for the Hounds on Sunday was Jonathan Zdan and Todd Meheden in regulation. In the shoot out Barthel, Hollingsworth and Weersink scored. Garet Burton was in net.
The Hounds took in a league game against CRAA Midget Gold Sunday night in Calgary with Weersink being the lone goal scorer for the Hounds. Blake Alexander took the loss in net.
The Hounds are on the road again this weekend with games in Cochrane against the Bow Valley Timberwolves and in Sylvan Lake on Sunday against the Sylvan Lake Lakers.
