Pee Wee AA Bert & Macs Broncos
The Pee Wee AA Bert & Macs Broncos started the 2011/12 season with a couple of wins on the weekend. On Saturday they played a close game with the Lethbridge Pee Wee AA Eagles but came from behind with three goals in the third period to take the season opener 4-3. Sunday they travelled to Taber to play the Golden Suns. A close first period ended at 2-2 but during the second and third periods the Broncos were able to score 4 unanswered goals to take the game 6-2. The Broncos next home game will be on Saturday, October 1 when they host the Bow Valley Timberwolves.
Val Matteoti Golden Hawks
The Lethbridge Val Matteoti Golden Hawks had two home games this weekend. Saterday the Hawks took a loss to the visiting Calgary Royals, 7-0. Sunday the Hawks hosted the Airdrie Extemes. The Golden Hawks started off well with a goal scored at 18:50 by Chase Bell assisted by Austin Moser and Michael Grant. Another goal at 18:06 by Mitchell Torrens assisted by Andrew Thompson kept the Hawks fired up. Airdrie answered with 2 power play goals ending the 1st period in a tie. Unfortunately with a penalty riddled 2nd period Airdrie added 3 more goals(one a power play goal) to keep the lead 5-2 at the end of period 2. The Hawks added a 3rd goal in the 3rd by Chase Bell(his 2nd of the afternoon) assisted by Taner Miller and Carson Beers. Robert Brewin faced 32 goals on net. The final score; Airdrie 5- Lethbridge 3. The Lethbridge Val Matteoti Golden Hawks next action is Sun. Oct 2nd, 12 noon hosting the Red Deer white team.

ATTENTION MIDGET 15
Due to a clerical error in Hockey Alberta Registration we WILL NOT be playing this weekend in Cochrane. Dry land session tomorrow Sept 23 is still in effect. Monday regular practice is at 7:45.
Midget AA update
Saturday game in Innisfail at 8:00pm, bus will leave at 3:30 sharpe, please bring food for before the game and $15.00 for meal after the game, also bring pillow and blank for on the bus to sleep with.
Sunday game in Strathmore at 2:15, bus will leave at 11:00 am sharpe, same bring food for before the game and $15:00 for food after the game we will be stopping at a restaurant.
Be at the bus 15 minutes before it leaves.

We have an exhibition game in Cochrane against the AC Avalanche on Saturday at 4:15. The bus will be leaving Henderson arena at 12:00 pm. Pack yourself a lunch for the road. Also please have your parents send along $10.00 to cover the post game meal.

Attention Midget 15′s we are going to play an exhibition game against the AA midget team on Saturday Sept. 17th @ 7:00 pm. Be at rink minimum 1:15 early so you can do a proper warmup before the game. There is no dress code. Please bring your own water bottle.

Players are responsible for own snacks before the game. The team will stop and have something to eat after the game, please send 10 dollars with each player to cover expenses for the meal. If there are any food allergies please let coaching staff know at thursdays practice.
